Job description

Join to apply for the Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift role at Kinetico Incorporated.

The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician position works under limited supervision to conduct major repairs to production and support equipment, HVAC systems, boiler systems, fire protection systems, and building management systems. It also requires a first-level knowledge of building electrical and water infrastructure.

Compensation: Non-exempt, competitive hourly pay based on experience. Shift Differential, OT, and Performance Bonus eligible.

Location: Newbury, OH 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on manufacturing equipment, both indoors and outdoors, in a continuous operation environment.
• Analyze and interpret diagrams and drawings for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Inspect, repair, install, and wire electrical devices and circuits up to 480VAC.
• Maintain HVAC systems, including diagnosing and replacing components.
• Conduct water quality checks and water analysis.
• Coordinate with contractors on wastewater operations.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and circuit modifications.
• Manage building management and fire protection systems, pumps, and alarms.
• Assist in training new technicians and other specialized tasks.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.

Education & Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Trade certification or apprenticeship preferred, with electrical training highly valued.
• 5-8 years of experience in industrial machinery, electrical, or facility systems.

Competencies

• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, read blueprints, follow instructions, and prioritize tasks.
• Good communication skills and inventory management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Physical Effort and Work Environment

• Frequent physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to oil, noise, and seasonal temperature changes.
