Job summary

Tribe 9 Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production moving by performing mechanical repairs, troubleshooting equipment, and conducting preventive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging lines. 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints are required.

This is a 2nd shift, full-time, on-site role in Madison, WI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and lubrication practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and other safety programs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, instructions, and blueprints.
• Complete maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Follow all company safety, food safety, quality, and GMP requirements.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Flexible scheduling may be needed to support production demands

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and lubrication practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with food manufacturing or packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety requirements
