Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to ensure optimal performance of production equipment. The role involves maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery, including electrical systems and PLC programming, to support continuous operations.

The candidate should have at least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and welding ability. Knowledge of GMP/SQF and OSHA standards is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving across multiple systems.
  • Electrical expertise, including PLC programming and controls.
  • Ability to weld (TIG, MIG, and Stick).
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

TheMaintenance Technician IVplays a critical role in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of production equipment. This position is responsible for maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery, including electrical systems and PLC programming, to support continuous and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to production requests and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and standard practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving across multiple systems.
  • Electrical expertise, including PLC programming and controls.
  • Ability to weld (TIG, MIG, and Stick).
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical education.
  • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and PSM compliance.
  • SAP system experience

Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
