SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC, is seeking an On-Site Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facilities, inspect drives and motors, replace components, and ensure safety and compliance.

You will keep accurate maintenance records, estimate repair needs, and coordinate with supervisors in a busy manufacturing environment with occasional travel to other divisions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; apprenticeship or related education preferred.
  • Formal apprenticeship or higher education in industrial technology is a plus.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience with maintenance responsibilities.

  • Perform routine maintenance on drives, motors, belts, and other equipment.
  • Provide skilled maintenance to production equipment, tools, and facilities systems.
  • Keep detailed records of corrective and preventive maintenance; estimate repair needs.

TheOn-Site Maintenance Technicianwill lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • This position is responsible for providing skilled maintenance to equipment and facilities including but not limited to production process equipment, machinery, tools and facilities systems and structures.
  • The technician is responsible for keeping all records of corrective and preventative maintenance performed.
  • Detect the need for maintenance material. gives communication and direction to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Lead as necessary to ensure supervision and equipment maintenance is adequately provided on a daily basis.
  • Conducts safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the production equipment.
  • Instructs personnel in equipment start-up procedures and machine operation.
  • Purchases service components used in the repair or preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Analyzes equipment failures, determines causes, and makes necessary adjustments for repairs.
  • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • Seeks new technologies and automation opportunities in lowering the overall cost of manufacturing.
  • Ensure the use of competent companies for contract work
  • Does planning and estimates for capital projects.
  • Writes ARFs.
  • Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers.
  • Manages and tracks project progress
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
  • Ensure mechanical and electrical maintenance of facility is preformed, as needed.
  • Perform other functions as needed.
Position Supervised or Directed:

Reports to Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience required:
  • Ability to observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Formal apprenticeship program or higher education in industrial technology.
  • Three or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Additional work experience may substitute for formal training.
  • Working knowledge of the purpose and operations of cutting, forming, welding and industrial Equipment.
  • Basic electrical, PLC’s, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Skills at diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Sufficient human relations skills to convey technical concepts to others and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers.
  • Basic skills in using common personal computer-based business programs.
  • Ability to perform a full range of maintenance activities on process equipment, machinery, tools, and facilities systems.
  • Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and establish corrective course of action.
  • Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, maintain complete records, and interpret plans, diagrams, operating manuals, and specifications.
  • Ability to establish a scheduled maintenance plan.
  • Capable of operating a variety of machinery, tools, and welding.
General requirements:
  • Able to travel to other divisions when required.
  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.
Working Conditions:
  • Office and manufacturing plant environment.
  • Mostly indoors.
  • Occasionally exposed to high/cold temperatures, loud noises and fumes.
