Job summary

Prime Windows Systems is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-volume manufacturing operations in Streetsboro, Ohio. This is an on-site, 2nd shift, full-time position.

This role requires diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safety and uptime. You will work with production teams, read electrical schematics, and document maintenance activities to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment
• Knowledge of computer/PLC troubleshooting
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and machine repair
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and automated systems.
• Use schematics and technical documentation to identify root causes of failures.
• Respond quickly to production downtime to minimize disruptions.
• Communicate with OEM technical support to speed up equipment repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance on welders, cutting systems, conveyors, and automated assembly equipment.
• Identify early signs of equipment wear and proactively address potential failures.
• Develop PM procedures and schedules for critical machinery.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Support lockout/tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices.
• Partner with production supervisors, engineers, and leadership to resolve equipment challenges.
• Contribute ideas that enhance safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Job description

Prime Windows Systems, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-volume manufacturing operations in Streetsboro, Ohio. This is an on-site, 2nd shift, full-time position.

2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 pm to 01:30 am. This is a 10 hour shift - 4 days a week. Some overtime needed if Production works on Friday

Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings advanced electronic, mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting expertise and thrives in a fast-paced production environment where precision, reliability, and proactive problem solving are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Equipment Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Trouble-shoot PC/PLC controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and automated systems.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Ensure equipment repairs meet safety and operational standards.
• Support lockout/tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with production supervisors, engineers, and leadership to resolve equipment challenges.
• Contribute ideas that enhance safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or in field set-up and/or service of computer-controlled equipment.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Computer/PLC troubleshooting

  • Mechanical systems and machine repair
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment
