Job description

Position Summary

Primary responsibilities include the maintenance and repair of equipment used for the manufacture of assembled products. Performs facility repairs and maintenance work orders in accordance to Cantel safety and appearance standards. Performs work to all regulatory standards and ensures optimum equipment efficiency/reliability. The scope of work will include all electrical, mechanical, automation, facility and supporting infrastructure systems.

Duties

1. Support an FDA regulated device manufacturing environment with technical expertise.
2. Manage multiple projects and utilize time effectively to support operational needs.
3. Perform advanced equipment troubleshooting and repair.
4. Provide maintenance/repair recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor.
5. Utilize equipment maintenance logs effectively.
6. Complete preventative maintenance work orders as scheduled.
7. Support environmental control systems to maximize energy savings.
8. Use the Main Saver computerized maintenance management system to track work activities and prioritize daily tasks.
9. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and schedules with internal and external customers.
10. Perform inspections and coordinate service repairs for life safety systems, including fire alarm, fire suppression, extinguishers, entry alarm, and monitoring systems.
11. Ensure safe and efficient operation at all times.
12. Maintain records, supplies, and documentation in compliance with FDA, OSHA, ADA, NFPA, and IBC standards using the Main Saver system.
13. Coordinate with outside contractors for building and process-related improvements.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant technical certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical equipment repair; 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to achieve within 30 days preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, electrical and mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of building automation and electronic control systems.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, crawl, and work outdoors as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and building automation systems.
