Schweid & Sons is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the second shift at our facility in College Park, MD. The role focuses on industrial maintenance, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems to keep production lines running smoothly.

The candidate should have 2–5 years of maintenance experience, be a team player, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance while adhering to GMP and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Good troubleshooting skills.

Job Summary:

• 2-5 years’ work experience with industrial maintenance.
• Knows how to use hand tools.
• Knows how to use power tools.
• Must have pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial electrical systems working knowledge.
• Must know how to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Able to perform basic mathematical functions.

• Able to offer feed back about PMs for PM improvement.

Essential Job Functions:

• Works well with others.
• Able work as part of a team to improve production.
• Able to understand communications from others about equipment failures and the troubleshoot problem and make repairs.
• Min 2 years’ experience in a maintenance department.
• Excellent knowledge of maintenance and operation principles, policies, practices and strategies.
• Thorough working knowledge of PLC (programmable logic controller), pneumatic operated systems, Single phase, three phase motors, all aspects of conveyor feeding and packaging.
• Experience using computer-based reactionary/ preventive /predictive maintenance software systems; Limble ERP preferred.
• Experience in the food industry is strongly preferred.
• Experience with patty formers, grinders and packaging preferred.
• Effectively communication, both orally and written.
