Job summary

Schweid & Sons in Carlstadt, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician with 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience to support production lines. You will use hand tools, power tools, and read hydraulic and electrical schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Strong knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and preventive/predictive maintenance is required. Experience with Limble ERP is preferred. Must follow GMP, safety policies and work well in a team.

Qualifications

  • Min 2 years’ experience in a maintenance department.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance and operation principles, policies, practices and strategies.
  • Thorough working knowledge of PLC (programmable logic controller), pneumatic operated systems, single-phase, three-phase motors, and conveyor feeding/packaging.
  • Experience using computer-based maintenance software; Limble ERP preferred.
  • Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Office 365).

Job Summary
  • 2-5 years’ work experience with industrial maintenance.
  • Knows how to use hand tools.
  • Knows how to use power tools.
  • Must have pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial electrical systems working knowledge.
  • Must know how to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Able to perform predictive and preventative maintenance.
  • Able to offer feed back about PMs for PM improvement.
  • Able to tolerate working in a cold, wet, and humid environment.
  • Able to follow all safety, attendance, GMP, and HR policies.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Thorough working knowledge of PLC (programmable logic controller), pneumatic operated systems, Single phase, three phase motors, all aspects of conveyor feeding and packaging.
  • Experience using computer-based reactionary/ preventive /predictive maintenance software systems; Limble ERP preferred.
Experience In The Food Industry Is Strongly Preferred.
  • Experience with patty formers, grinders and packaging preferred.
  • Effectively communication, both orally and written.
  • Good computer skills, Excel, Word, Office 365.
