Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, professional, self-driven, and flexible.

Skills

VFD, Motor Controls experience

What Are Your Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on all equipment.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and improve upon existing manufacturing equipment.
• Assist in the implementation of new equipment and improvements to existing equipment
• Track and report maintenance issues or future reference
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
• Ensure compound retains are rotated accordingly
• Perform thorough work with resolve; follow thru on the repairs with feedback from internal customers.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Able to use a digital voltmeter.
• Support maintenance activities as needed.
• Work flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed.
• Attend outside training/seminars for continual education.
  
  

Additional Job Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5S duties
• Operate forklift/fill out daily forklift checklist when needed

• VFD, Motor Controls experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical Requirements

Individual is constantly using upper extremities, while frequently required to stand, walk, and bend, Additional requirement include occasionally sitting, crouching and navigating stairs. The environmental conditions for this position are climate controlled indoor activity and frequent outdoor variable climates.

Visual Requirements

Close visual work required. Ability to read information in a variety of formats.

Your Credentials

• Minimum of three 3-5 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Technical Degree preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all Quanex team members and outside resources.
• Must be detail-oriented, professional, self-driven, and flexible to the requirements of each project.
• Must be dependable and responsible.
  
  

Hourly rate of pay is commensurate with experience and an electrical assessment conducted by Quanex beginning at; $25.00/hr. + $1.00 shift differential.
