Maintenance Technician (Paper) - 2nd Shift

A growing company located in Beaver Dam is seeking a Direct Hire 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join their team. You will be responsible for repairing and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as printing presses, saddle stitchers/trimmers cutters, folders, pneumatic tools and compressed air systems. • Hours: Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 11:00pm plus on call rotation and some additional overtime
• Pay: $30+/hour depending on experience. 2nd Shift will receive a $0.70 shift premium.

Responsibilities:

• Observes mechanical devices, equipment and machinery in operation and listens to their sounds to diagnose machine malfunction and determines the need for adjustment, repair, or replacement.
• Dismantles machinery and/or equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts or devices and control instruments.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Repairs electrical equipment or replaces faulty wiring, switches, or relays, as qualified to perform.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have a clean driving record

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and 5+ years of related experience and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to anticipate problems and implement appropriate preventative measures.
• Ability to develop new techniques for work processes.
• Must be able to give technical direction to others and project leadership over multiple safety teams
• Ability to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination.
• Requires working around and operating departmental equipment.
