Job summary

Pratt Industries in Austell, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. You will perform required maintenance on the plant’s buildings, machinery and equipment and assist other maintenance personnel with mechanical maintenance.

You will follow safe work policies, keep a clean work area, troubleshoot electrical/electronic components, complete work orders, manage parts inventory, perform data entry, assist in training teammates, and handle other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Must have knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Problem solving and critical thinking.
• Must read and use a non-metric measuring tape.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Job Description

Overview

• Performs required maintenance on the plant’s building, machinery and equipment.
• Assists other maintenance personnel in performing mechanical maintenance.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or higher preferred, but not required
• At least 5 years of experience, or documented training.

• The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees – 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
