Job summary

NexForm Technologies is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations in Warrensburg, MO. You will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain safe production flow.

This hands-on role combines mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting with mold changeovers and production support responsibilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing mold changes in a production setting required.
  • Experience performing dye changes preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills; CMMS experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Equipment Reliability: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment.
  • Mold changes and production support as needed.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance: Maintain compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety regulations.
  • Work safely at heights using ladders, lifts, and fall protection equipment.

Position Overview

NexForm Technologies is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safe production flow.

This hands-on role combines mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting with mold changeovers and production support responsibilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Equipment Reliability

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment

Mold Changes & Production Support

  • Perform mold changes safely and efficiently according to procedures
  • Prepare and verify molds prior to changeovers
  • Ensure proper alignment, setup, and functionality before startup
  • Work closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Inspect molds for wear or damage and report issues as needed

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures
  • Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety regulations
  • Safely work at heights using ladders, lifts, and fall protection equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Utilize the PLEX maintenance system (CMMS) to track work orders and equipment history
  • Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and engineering teams
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods (8–12 hour shifts)
  • Frequent bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments
  • Ability to wear required PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and steel‑toe boots
  • Full‑time manufacturing position
  • Overtime and on‑call support may be required
  • Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment
