A leading manufacturing company in Owatonna, MN is looking for an entry level Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shift roles. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various systems including electrical and mechanical. We are currently looking for an entry level Maintenance Technician to join our team on 2nd shift, with working hours Monday through Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm or 3rd shift, with working hours Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am.

Starting rate begins at $24.00 per hour and will be determined based on experience. 2nd & 3rd shift will receive an additional shift differential of $2.50 per hour.

Position Purpose

Responsible to perform duties to maintain and repair plant machinery, equipment, power tools, hand tools, electrical systems, heating systems, and other building maintenance necessary at the plant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Check all lights, heat/air conditioning, ovens, and boiler upon entering the plant each day to assure that they are working satisfactorily. Diagnose any malfunctions and make the necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and mechanical systems for the facility and the production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Install any new machinery, including all electrical work necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Properly maintain all assigned equipment; meet efficiency and productivity standards set up for the position.
