Job summary

Chapman Management Co., Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of the property's physical plant, performing preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance across all systems.

The role includes on-call coverage 24/7 and supervision of contract personnel. Responsibilities include plumbing and electrical work, routine preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the Property Manager to prioritize turnover and repairs.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Bi-lingual is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must comply with safety requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of building maintenance experience.
• Regular schedule with overtime, weekends, and holidays on-call.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property to ensure clean, safe, well-maintained living environment.
• Address work orders efficiently and accurately.
• Perform plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
• Oversee preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Conduct daily property inspections and report deficiencies.
• Handle after-hours on-call and emergency responses.
• Manage janitorial duties and snow removal as required.
• Supervise temporary and contract maintenance personnel.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate with Property Manager.
