Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Denali area. This seasonal, full-time role supports hotel operations, performing routine repairs and system troubleshooting to ensure guest comfort and safety.

You will uphold standards, assist with inspections, and maintain accurate logs while coordinating with staff and guests to resolve repair needs in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean record.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg.

As a Maintenance Technician, you ensure our hotel stays safe, clean, and fully operational. From routine repairs to troubleshooting systems, your hands‑on work supports a comfortable environment for guests and staff. You uphold company standards and regulatory compliance, keeping everything running smoothly day to day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routinely performs maintenance inspections, checks, and daily rounds.
• Routinely performs a variety of entry‑level maintenance tasks.
• Assists with preventive and corrective maintenance involving inspections and repairs.
• Observes operation of facility equipment, updates logs in software applications, and other written maintenance and repair records.
• Communicates verbally via handheld radios and in person for repair calls, troubleshooting, and follow‑up with employees and guests on repair status.
• Interacts with employees and guests including but not limited to answering questions and providing information about the local areas, hotel information, and general service interactions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age of 18 years to operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License (not revoked or suspended) with fewer than three moving violations.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and will be a part of our random drug testing program.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
