Job summary

Hayes Gibson Property Services is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician 2 to repair and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems at our Rock Island properties. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes safety, reliability, and resident satisfaction.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with on-call responsibilities for emergencies. We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan, PTO based on longevity, and holidays off.

Responsibilities

• Repair & Maintain: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on property buildings and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more.
• Troubleshoot & Fix: Respond promptly to work orders, diagnose issues, and complete necessary repairs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Inspect & Report: Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards.

Principal Objective of Position

The Maintenance Technician 2 repairs and maintains all mechanical, electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, structural facilities and grounds of the property. The Maintenance Technician 2 works towards the common goals of satisfactory cash flow, positive resident relations and optimal resident retention.

We’re looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team full‑time and ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Work Hours & Benefits:

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with flexibility. On‑call as needed to respond to emergency maintenance requests.

• Compensation: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
