Job summary

Total Talent Solutions in Columbia, SC is hiring a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, a High School Diploma (trade school preferred), strong mechanical and electrical skills, ability to read blueprints, and own tools; must lift up to 100 pounds and work in an active industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school or skilled trades training preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience using electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
• Must provide own mechanic's tools.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in an active industrial environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems ranging from 24VDC controls to 480VAC three-phase equipment.
• Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance schedules with production leaders.
• Assist with installing, relocating, and upgrading machinery and plant equipment.
• Maintain facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and grounds maintenance.
• Support safety initiatives, including lockout/tagout procedures, confined space requirements, and emergency lighting inspections.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and repair materials.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
