Sika in the USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. This full-time role focuses on preventive maintenance, machine repair, welding, electrical work, and plant safety to maximize production uptime.

You will work with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot control circuits, repair electrical and electronic systems, operate forklifts and lifts, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Two years maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Tig welding experience (preferred)

Responsabilités

• Perform mechanical maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance, machine repair, metal fabrication, welding, plumbing, painting and other common maintenance tasks.
• Maintains electrical systems for equipment and performs preventive maintenance to maximize production time.
• Troubleshoot control circuits in production equipment and implement electrical/electronic improvements for better safety and performance.
• Operate forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts as required and ensure a clean, safe work area.

Performs mechanical maintenance tasks such as preventative maintenance, machine repair, metal fabrication, welding, plumbing, painting and other common maintenance tasks by performing the following duties. Maintains electrical systems for equipment. Perform preventive maintenance system to maximize production time and minimize down time.

• Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts feed mechanisms.
• Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
• Replaces or repairs machine belts.
• Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
• Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
• Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
• Assemble, reconfigure or move parts for workstations & other furnishings.
• Patches or replaces plaster board and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of building.
• Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures.
• Operates welding machine to repair or join metal parts.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Operates forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts as required
• Performs other routine duties as necessary
• Troubleshoot control circuits in production equipment
• Implement electrical/electronic improvements on equipment for better and safer performance
• Analyzing electronic components and systems to design and develop improvements to PLC systems, mixing processes and production line
• Evaluating operational systems and recommending design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions and improve productivity
• Repair and maintenance of all electronic and electrical systems of all production operations
• Perform other duties when requested
• Tig welding experience perferred
