Job summary

Insight Global in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 6 month-contract-to-hire role. Based at a large hospital facility, you will support work orders, PMs, construction tasks, and project assistance to help reduce backlogs and ensure proper close-out procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in maintenance or related fields, broad trades knowledge, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills for coordinating with the facilities leadership team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in maintenance field or related field (Commercial OR Residential).
• Basic knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical.
• High school Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with work orders, PMs, construction and enabling tasks.
• Assist with project tasks and collaboration with Facilities leadership to reduce backlogs.
• Ensure documentation and work close-out procedures are properly completed.

A client in the Tampa, FL area is looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team for a 6 month-contract-to-hire opportunity. The Maintenance Technician offers hands‑on assistance to a large facilities team at one of Florida’s largest health systems. Based at a 2-million-square-foot hospital in Tampa, FL, this position is intended to provide immediate support with work orders, preventive maintenance (PMs), construction and enabling tasks, and project assistance. Technicians will collaborate with Facilities leadership to reduce backlogs, aid ongoing construction, increase PM completion rates, and ensure all documentation and work close‑out procedures are properly handled.

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in maintenance field or related field (Commercial OR Residential)
• Basic knowledge and experience in various trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical
• Highschool Diploma
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
