Job Description: Maintenance Technician - Loves Park, Illinois

We’re hiring!

Our customer in Loves Park, Illinois, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on mechanical skills who enjoys keeping operations running smoothly and minimizing downtime in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

• Maintain and repair machines, equipment, and facility systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, and air-conditioning.
• Set up production equipment as needed to ensure efficiency.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot and refurbish older equipment to improve longevity and performance.
• Maintain clear documentation of all maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical school certification, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret safety rules, technical manuals, maintenance instructions, and blueprints.
• Comfortable with basic math, including geometry and algebra.
• Able to solve practical problems using a mix of written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
• Self-motivated with strong documentation and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay: $16.50-$22/hour based on experience.
• Benefits include: 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid weekly, direct deposit, health insurance, and paid training.

Schedule:

1st Shift, Full-time. Monday - Thursday from 6am - 3:30pm and Friday 6am – 10am (may vary).
