Job summary

Allegion Canada Inc. is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician in Indianapolis, Indiana. The successful candidate will perform a variety of factory processes, including assembly and maintenance of production machinery, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.

What You Will Do

• Perform factory processes including assembly, polishing, plating, stamping, and machining.
• Conduct lubrication, pneumatic and mechanical maintenance and repairs on all production machinery and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical staff on process improvements and plant changes.
• Operate simple test equipment such as multimeters, tape measures, dial indicators, and other measurement tools.
• Fabricate equipment as needed, including cutting, welding, and grinding.
• Manage the preventive maintenance (PM) work order system and the daily maintenance workload.
• Ensure proper safety procedures are followed during maintenance and repair of production equipment.
• Track and report metrics for schedule attainment, machine downtime, and WPO.

What You Need to Succeed

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of maintenance experience required.
• Additional skills training is a plus.
• Accountable for completion of assigned work.
• Ability to complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks; training and support will be provided if necessary.
