Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a facilities maintenance supervisor to coordinate and oversee tasks across the building and equipment. You will perform complex repairs, supervise technicians, and uphold preventive maintenance programs to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 2 years of maintenance experience, strong communication with internal/external stakeholders, and the ability to manage data and safety inspections.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of maintenance or operations experience.
  • Ability to interact with internal customers and external vendors with clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance tasks on facilities and equipment.
  • Perform complex building repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
  • Assist in maintaining preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Direct work and supervise vendors/technicians who repair/maintain equipment or systems.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly building inspections to identify repairs and safety hazards.
  • Perform a wide variety of repairs throughout the facility including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ensure upkeep and preventative maintenance of buildings, materials, and systems.
  • Schedule and direct vendor work and testing of systems such as emergency generators and sprinklers.
  • Record data from main electrical panels quarterly.
  • Inspect equipment and areas (air compressors, roofs, sprinklers) and record inspection data.
  • Support conference room setup for meetings, catering, and events.
  • Ensure receipt and accountability for deliveries (FedEx, supplies, postal).
  • Maintain positive interactions with associates at all levels and provide outstanding service.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance tasks performed on facilities and equipment.
  • Performs complex building repairs using various technical skills (i.e., carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.)
  • Assists in maintaining preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Directs work and supervises vendors/technicians who repair and maintain equipment and/or systems.
  • Conducts weekly and monthly building inspections to identify needed repairs and safety hazards.
  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Performs a wide variety of repairs throughout the facility including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ensures proper upkeep and preventative maintenance of all buildings, materials, and systems.
  • Schedules, directs and ensures satisfactory completion of work performed by vendors.
  • Schedules and facilitates vendor testing of emergency generator, sprinker system alarms and other systems
  • Records data from main electrical panels on a quarterly basis.
  • Inspects various equipment and building areas, including, but not limited to, air compressors, roof and roof-mounted equipment and sprinkler systems; records data from inspections.
  • Provides support with conference room set-up for meetings, caterings, and events.
  • Ensures receipt and accountability for all deliveries including Federal Express, office supplies, and postal service.
  • Maintains positive interactions with associates at all levels of the organization in providing outstanding service and support.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • Required Experience: 2 Years
  • Previous maintenance or operations experience.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems to record and track data.
  • Ability to push, pull and lift 75 lbs.
