Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift at the White Bear Lake, MN facility. The role focuses on maintaining automated manufacturing equipment to minimize production losses, reporting to the site Maintenance Supervisor.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment performance, collaborating with operations and engineering teams to ensure safety and reliability. The job requires strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills with CMMS experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of directly related work experience OR technical degree/certification.
• Must have PLC knowledge and be able to troubleshoot; willingness to upgrade skills.
• Certificate or Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Controls/Robotics/Electronics, Electromechanical Technology.
• Associate degree or Apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance Technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance troubleshooting in designated area (Pleating equipment, hot-melt machines or automated assembly/testing equipment).
• Collaborate with operations and engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve equipment performance.
• Interface with vendors/contractors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Work with CMMS software to record maintenance activities and history.
• Promote shop safety and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Train maintenance personnel when needed and work with high voltage safely.

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician 1st shift to join our White Bear Lake, MN team. You will provide technical maintenance support of automated manufacturing equipment to reduce any production losses from equipment or system failures. This position reports directly into the site Maintenance Supervisor.

You Will

• Perform maintenance troubleshooting functions in select area with a primary focus on one of the following: Pleating equipment, hot melting machines, automated assembly/testing equipment.
• Will work with operations team members and engineers to trouble-shoot issues and improve equipment performance. Friendly and approachable. Communicate clearly to achieve company goals.
• Must have broad-based technical training or equivalent demonstrable experience in hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, schematic readings, machine shop experience.
• Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting.
• Interface with equipment vendors and contractors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Must show competency in resolving problems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Must be able to work with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• Must be a self-starter and work with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Must understand and promote shop safety. Continuously practice safe work habits to keep accidents from happening. Must be aware of safety requirements to safely work alone, as well as in conjunction with other maintenance staff. (Lock out/Tag out procedures, etc.)
• Must be able to train maintenance personnel and/or technicians when necessary.
• Must be able to work with high voltage electricity safely.
• Must communicate well with others in the Maintenance Department, as well as other departments.
• All other duties that are asked by management are to be done for the best interest of the company, its customers, and its employees.

Key Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and five years of directly related work experience OR a technical degree/certification.
• Must have knowledge of PLC’s and be able to troubleshoot. Must be willing to continually upgrade skills and learn new technologies.
• A certificate or Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Controls/Robotics/Electronics, Electromechanical Technology.
• Associate degree or Apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance Technology.

Position Shift/Hours

• 1st shift: 6:00 AM –2:30 PM Monday - Friday
• Saturdays voluntary only

Compensation

The hourly pay for this role is: $32.00/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
