A-Line Staffing is now hiring Maintenance Technician in Ames, IA 50010.
The Maintenance Technician would be working for a major Fortune 500 Company and has career growth potential.

Maintenance Technician Highlights:

• Schedule:work 4 days week 8-10+ hour long shifts (operations open for 20-hours); must be available for overtime, infrequent weekend work, and on-call duties as needed
• Pay Range:$22–$28 Hourly

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Maintain mechanical production operation equipment to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely
• Coordinate activities within the premix plant for efficient operations
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Ensure compliance with company SHE Standards, Life Saving Rules, FAMI-QS, cGMPs, ISO 9001, and OSHA standards
• Lead and mentor plant personnel in maintenance practices and safety protocols
• Use company systems like Fiix and Unite-X for documenting maintenance compliance
• Enforce good manufacturing practices and maintain a safe work environment
• Authorize overtime, evaluate working conditions, and coordinate with outside vendors
• Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate with plant, safety, and quality managers
• Drive improvements in operations, safety, quality, and environmental performance
• Train operators to perform basic maintenance tasks

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade certification
• Minimum 3 years of related experience (5 years )
• Experience in Feed Mill or Premix production environments
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and understanding of blend plant equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and people skills
• Knowledge of OSHA and willingness to learn company-specific SHE, Quality, and Security standards
• Familiarity with weights, measurements, and computer-controlled systems
• Knowledge of regulatory programs such as FAMI-QS, ISO 9001, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, and CTPAT
