Georgia-Pacific Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Owosso, MI to troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant machinery. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and adhering to plant safety and environmental guidelines.

We operate 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights). Compensation starts at $33.76 per hour with potential to advance to $42.20 per hour, plus a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Safety and teamwork are central to our PBM culture.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with 480V motors and PLC systems.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and repair equipment per plant procedures.
• Maintain and repair machinery to meet production, waste and quality goals.
• Install and repair mechanical components, welding and fabrication as needed.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Repair and maintain machinery per diagrams and manufacturer specs (motors, pneumatics, conveyors, PLCs).
• Use hand tools and precision instruments and ensure safety rules are followed.
