Job summary

Continental Carbonic Products, Matheson is seeking Maintenance Technicians to support production equipment on a 12-hour shift with every other weekend off. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation and preventive maintenance across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC systems.

You will assist with new equipment installation, changeovers, and process safety documentation while contributing to a culture of quality and safety.

Qualifications

Requires HS diploma or GED; a 2-year technical degree or related certifications are a plus.
Minimum 4 years maintenance experience in manufacturing, preferably extrusion or compression with hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, electrical systems, and troubleshooting PLCs; robotics and ammonia refrigeration experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition.
Monitor production and process equipment for proper operation.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair from blueprints, manuals, or vendor specs.
Adjust machines based on PLC displays and operational messages.
Assist with installation, testing, and validation of new equipment.
Maintain records for Process Safety Management requirements.
Oversee equipment changeovers and communicate issues to management.
Assist training of manufacturing employees in proper equipment use.
Keep Maintenance Repair Area organized and support colleagues as needed.
