Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 to perform a variety of upkeep tasks across plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. You’ll troubleshoot CNC drives, repair machines, and fabricate components to support production.

Responsibilities include operating lifts and forklifts, installing new equipment, maintaining CMMS logs, and ensuring adherence to safety and 5S standards. A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints.
• Certified forklift operator.
• Welding capabilities and basic metal fabrication.
• Industrial electricity/wiring knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical.
• Troubleshoot CNC drives and motors and correct malfunctions.
• Operate personnel lifts and forklifts; move and install equipment.
• Perform repairs and adaptations of equipment and manage CMMS records.
• Collaborate to look up MRO parts and coordinate parts orders for repairs.

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you

• The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical.
• CNC troubleshooting drives, motors
• Machine repair
• Troubleshoot and correct setups, tooling and malfunctions
• Operate the personnel lifts
• Operate forklifts
• Perform repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards
• Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas
• Build or fabricate devices to improve quality and production
• Use hand and power tools
• Move equipment
• Plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, soldering, maintenance and inventory supply check in / out using CMMS system
• Lookup MRO parts using CMMS system, if not available provide all relevant information to clerk, engineer or manager for prompt order of repair parts and rebuild machines as required
• All non-routine machine maintenance and upkeep machines as required
• Evaluate / repair / replace electrical motors and component
• Wire machines
• Install new equipment to meet all production needs
• Basic PLC maintenance
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
• Practice 5Ss
