Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Design and modify equipment with quotes and schematics.
• Provide data on labor, inventory usage and repair procedures.
• Operate power equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in machine setup.
• Maintain organized tools, parts and manuals.

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Follow NFPA 70e electrical safety standards.
• Comply with EHS policy; ISO 9000/14001 knowledge.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 45 lbs.
• Be willing to take call; rotate shifts, overtime on weekends.
• Maintain safe work practices and teamwork.

Job Summary:

To translate the company vision, mission, and strategies into functional activities within the Maintenance area. Under limited supervision, performs scheduled and non-scheduled repair of equipment, systems, and the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair physical plant and equipment problems
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and the physical plant.
• Design and build new equipment or modify existing equipment, which includes providing quotes, drawing plans, schematics, and other assorted documentation.
• Supply necessary data for department information system, including information on labor, inventory usage, and repair procedures.
• Operate power equipment as needed to perform maintenance duties.
• Perform or assist in machine set-up.
• Store and maintain department tools, supplies, equipment, parts inventory, and manuals in a clean, safe, well-organized manner.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and the development of appropriate set-up and repair procedures.
• Provide technical information for the purchase of materials/parts for facility and equipment maintenance.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
• Employee must have knowledge and an understanding of the NFPA 70e Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.These competencies will be certified through an audit prior to authorizing the employee to install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Comply with Koozie Group's EHS policy.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and 14001 procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and freely move about the plant as well as bend, twist, grasp and perform repetitive motion tasks properly to work within and around machines. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs occasionally to frequently.
• Must be willing and able to take call and respond to call-in needs as scheduled. Position rotates on shifts, works overtime, and weekends as necessary.
• Perform duties in a safe manner using approved safety equipment and observing safe procedures at all times.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with fellow associates.
• Support teamwork through active participation.
• Performs reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: A minimum of a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing maintenance setting.
• o One year bindery or print equipment experience.
• Must be able to train on 1st shift for the first few months.
