Job summary

Koozie Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Red Wing, MN. This full-time role focuses on keeping plant machinery in good repair, diagnosing issues, and performing preventative maintenance. The position offers a daytime schedule with potential for nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnostics, equipment upgrades, and collaboration with engineering teams to improve reliability and efficiency. Strong safety mindset and teamwork required.

Qualifications

  • Circuit and system knowledge including AC/DC, voltage, current, resistance
  • Interpreting electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and symbols
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics with testing tools to locate malfunctions
  • Automation and controls experience with PLCs and automated production machinery
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and procedures
  • Ability to perform calibration and alignment of equipment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or failures in a timely manner.

  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
  • Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators and other staff on equipment usage.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $35.00 Hourly

Job Description for Electrical Maintenance Technician:

With minimal technical guidance, the Equipment Engineering Technician keeps plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair. Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation. Much of the time spent is addressing emergency equipment repairs, completing PM’s, assist in complex changeovers, and working with other experienced mechanics.

Job Responsibilities for Electrical Maintenance Technician :

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Job Requirements for Electrical Maintenance Technician :

  • Circuit & System Knowledge: understanding voltage, current, resistance, AC/DC systems, and power distribution
  • Reading Schematics: Interpreting electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and symbols
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing tools to locate malfunctions
  • Automation & Controls: working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), motor controls, and automated production machinery
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance or engineering support
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures
  • Ability to perform calibration and alignment of equipment
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and standards
  • Proficient in using computer software for data entry and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if necessary
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
