Job summary

John F. Martin & Sons, LLC in Womelsdorf is seeking a Second Shift Maintenance Technician with experience on plant and material-handling equipment to join our meat and cheese manufacturing family.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems to maximize equipment availability while supporting production teams in a clean, safe workplace.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in plant maintenance.
• Material handling equipment experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills with ability to read manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 40–50 hour workweek with a few Saturdays, no Sundays.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse staff to improve equipment availability.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Work on plant and material handling equipment; address mechanical and electrical systems.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

At our Womelsdorf location, we are looking for a Second Shift - Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with both plant and material-handling equipment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Maintaining a work-life balance with a 40-to-50-hour workweek, including a few Saturdays and no Sunday work. Competitive wages based on experience.
• Being part of a cross-functional team, working with manufacturing and warehouse associates to improve equipment availability and performance.
• Completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.
• Working on both plant and material handling equipment.
• Handling mechanical and electrical systems.
• Utilizing troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair equipment.

We Are Looking For Someone With

• 1–3 years of experience in plant maintenance, with material handling equipment experience being a plus.
• A minimum of a high school diploma (or GED/high school certification); a technical school certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing is a plus but not required.
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
• The ability to work from equipment manuals and verbal instructions.
• The ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• A dependable, self-motivated attitude, willing to learn and grow with the team and company.
• The ability to stand and walk throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
