Maintenance Technician – Residential Properties Location: Wichita, KS Job Type: Full-Time | Pay: $17.00 – $22.00/hour (DOE and skills) Benefits: Health Insurance, Paid Time Off Professional Home Buyers has been serving Wichita for over 20 years. We’re growing and looking for a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You’ll help maintain rental homes, prep make-ready units, and assist with home flips in a positive, team-oriented work environment. Schedule: • Monday – Friday • 8-hour shifts • Some flexibility may be required based on project needs • 40 hours per week expected Work Location: In person Responsibilities: What You’ll Do • Perform general maintenance and repairs in rental properties and homes under renovation • Work with the team to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule • Communicate with tenants and property managers in a professional manner • Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues • Install appliances and equipment • Handle maintenance tasks such as changing light fixtures, repairing locks, and replacing faucets • Assist in framing, installing baseboards, cabinets, and general finish work • Inspect homes, identify issues, and report them to the property manager • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions • Fencing, siding, and more as needed Qualifications: What We’re Looking For • 2+ years of residential maintenance experience preferred, but we will train the right person • Solid skills in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry • Experience using hand and power tools • Self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance required • Own basic tools • Able to perform physical labor, lift heavy items, and handle physically demanding tasks • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening Compensation: $17 - $22 hourly
