Job summary

OpSource Staffing seeks a skilled maintenance technician with millwright experience to perform repair and preventative maintenance on diverse plant equipment in a West Union, SC facility. You will document issues and parts used in the CMMS daily and work in teams to uphold 5S standards.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent, a journeyman license if applicable, and 2–4 years of plant maintenance experience, plus willingness to pursue ongoing training funded by the company.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year degree in Industrial Electronic, Mechatronic or other technical field.
• Must pass Mechanical Aptitude and Electrical Test.
• 2–4 years of Industrial Plant Maintenance experience with willingness to ongoing schooling funded by the company.

Responsibilities

• Operate and document work in CMMS daily, recording issues and parts used.
• Demonstrate millwright skills including welding and pipe fitting.
• Perform repair and preventative maintenance on heat treat furnace, stamping press, assembly and finishing equipment, boilers, chillers and compressors.
• Work collaboratively in teams and QC circles.
• Follow 5S principles and all company, state, and environmental rules.

Job description

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

• Use CMMS program to complete work and document issue and parts used on a daily basis.
• Must demonstrate millwright skills which include welding and pipe fitting.
• Perform repair and Preventative Maintenance on: Heat Treat Furnace, Stamping Press’, Assembly and Finishing Equipment along with Boilers, Chillers and Compressors.
• Must be a team player and work in groups and QC Circle’s.
• Follow all 5S Principles and adhere to all Company, State, and Environmental rules and regulations.

Education and Experience:

Must have or willing to get a 2 year degree in Industrial Electronic, Mechatronic or other Technical Field of study.

Must pass Mechanical Aptitude and Electrical Test.

Must have at least 2-4 years of Industrial Plant Maintenance experience and be willing to participate in ongoing schooling to improve skills. Schooling will be paid for by Company.
