Description
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance, repairs, and custodial work that do not require special licensing
- Perform scheduled inspections, complete, and submit work orders accurately and on time
- Note items on inspection checklist which require follow up or additional work; communicate findings with team
- Change light bulbs and assist with light repairs on appliances and building systems that do not require special licensing
- Assist other Engineers and provide coverage as requested
- Read and understand emails, tracking lists and/or work orders necessary to perform maintenance and other work
- Maintain appearance of property to Facilities Partners and Client’s standards including trash management, light cleaning of common areas and high touch areas such as lobbies and elevators
- Coordinate with contracted vendors to ensure quality and scope of work is being performed as expected
- Respond to and resolve tenant service requests that do not require special licensing
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting in a professional and positive manner with clients, vendors, coworkers, etc.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools following all safety practices
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
- Attend monthly safety trainings and follow all safety procedures
- Report all accidents immediately
- Be aware of and report all potential safety hazards immediately
- Other job duties as requested

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and the ability to be covered by our insurer; ability to attend continuing education courses and work towards trade certifications when needed
Required Knowledge: Demonstrated basic working knowledge of typical office building systems (e.g., mechanical, fire and life safety, electrical, HVAC, security systems, plumbing, etc.)
Experience Required: Janitorial, maintenance and/or other similar experience desired

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. The employee must frequently climb a ladder. Specific vision abilities are required to do this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must frequently drive an automobile.
