Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support machine builds and commissioning at our Tennessee site. You will read CAD drawings, install equipment, and perform mechanical installations with pneumatics and welding knowledge.

The role requires light electrical work and the ability to run pipes and make adjustments to robotic motion during builds. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent, with JLG crane training.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent; Journeyman Certificate preferred.
  • Ability to read and lay out machine footprints from a CAD drawing to accurately install equipment.
  • Ability to perform advanced mechanical installations and repairs during machine build.
  • Advanced knowledge in pneumatics and ability to plumb machines to control prints.
  • Able to operate welding units: MIG, TIG, and oxy/acetylene torch.
  • Ability to run custom pipes on machines, measure, cut, thread and install pipes (black pipe and copper).
  • JLG Training with Crane

Responsibilities

  • Install fencing and guarding per specifications and safety standards.
  • Run PVC piping and install new pipes; measure, cut, thread.
  • Start machines to test operation after build.
  • Abide MIOSHA standards and safety procedures.
  • Modify robot motion using basic computer control.
  • Assist Engineers in modifying sketches or CAD designs of components.
  • Travel up to 60%.

AXIS ENGINEERING- Maintenance Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in the performance of daily activities.
  • Ability to read and lay out machine footprints from a CAD drawing to accurately install equipment.
  • Ability to perform advanced mechanical installations and repairs during machine build.
  • Advanced knowledge in pneumatics with the ability to plumb machines to the designed controls print.
  • Basic electrical knowledge of high and low voltage systems.
  • Able to operate standard welding units: MIG, TIG, and oxy/acetylene torch.
  • Installs fencing and other guarding to the designed specifications and company safety standards.
  • Ability to run custom pipes on machines, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe, including black pipe and copper lines.
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following machine build.
  • Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, earplugs, etc.).
  • Basic ability to modify the computer-controlled motion of the robot.
  • Assists the Engineer in modifying sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components, such as pneumatic systems and machine floor layouts.
  • Ability to run PVC piping.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Journeyman Certificate preferred.
  • Ability to read and lay out machine footprints from a CAD drawing to accurately install equipment.
  • Ability to perform advanced mechanical installations and repairs during machine build.
  • Advanced knowledge in pneumatics with the ability to plumb machines to the designed controls print.
  • Able to operate standard welding units: MIG, TIG, and oxy/acetylene torch.
  • Ability to run custom pipes on machines, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe, including black pipe and copper lines.
