Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am) in Holland, MI. You will dismantle, repair, and maintain automated machinery, pumps, and conveyors, ensuring safety and reliability of plant equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, installing parts, and performing preventive maintenance. We value teamwork and adherence to NFPA 79 standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and understand quality procedures and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Dismantles, repairs, and maintains machinery and equipment.
• Installs/replaces electrical components and wiring per NFPA 79 codes.
• Troubleshoots using electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance on pumps and conveyors.
• Ensures safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Keeps work areas clean and organized.

Maintenance Tech

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
• Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots.
• Basic understanding of PLC programming principles and techniques with consideration for operator and equipment safety.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect and repair any malfunctions.
• Performs both routine and repair maintenance on industrial pumps.
• Performs both routine and repair maintenance on scrap conveyors.
• Discusses machine operation variations with supervisors, operators, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Understand and adhere to wiring standards as specified in NFPA 79 (NEC) code books and use “best practices” for wiring equipment.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Fabricates and repairs tables, benches, racks and other metal structures.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Must use electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting.
• Must complete required classes in accordance with designated General Repair II Program.
• Understands, supports, and implements the company safety policies; Quality policy, housekeeping; and continuous improvement skills into daily work habits.
• Understands and adheres to all safety guidelines as required by OSHA and specified in the L&W mechanical/electrical standard (BMES) document.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Driver’s license required
• Responsible for reading and understanding the IATF16949, ISO9001:2015 and ISO-14001 procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Quality System Documentation

PAY AND SHIFT TIMES: 3rd Shift 10:00pm -6:00am Sun-Thurs night . Rate $30.75-$37.75 pay for experience

This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Supervisor and Manager.
