Job summary

Berkshire is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Washington, DC. You will be responsible for preserving the property’s physical attributes, supporting management, and upholding safety standards while delivering excellent service to residents.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of community maintenance experience, familiarity with home systems, and strong computer skills. The role emphasizes versatility, teamwork, and commitment to quality in a fast-paced property management

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in maintenance for a community
• Knowledge of appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and building maintenance
• Proficient in writing, speaking and understanding English
• Able to use computers and related applications
• Able to be a jack of all trades

Responsibilities

• Own and help drive the preservation of the property's physical attributes
• Support management in upholding community and corporate standards, policies and procedures
• Ensure that all safety measures are enforced
• Maintain shop, company equipment, inventory, and security
• Act as an inspector to maintain curb appeal and property presentation
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and teammates
