The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance, repair, and reliability of production equipment, building systems, and site utilities. The role ensures that mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently, supporting uninterrupted production. The technician will carry out preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, support small improvement projects, and assist with contractor coordination and basic facilities management activities.

Equipment Maintenance & Repairs
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PM) and autonomous maintenance (AM) on production equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and basic control system faults
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs
Facilities & Building Maintenance
  • Support maintenance of buildings, utilities, and site infrastructure
  • Ensure proper operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, and security systems
  • Carry out routine inspections of building systems and report issues promptly
  • Support general site maintenance and repair activities
Preventive Maintenance & Planning
  • Follow scheduled maintenance plans and ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Assist in developing and improving preventive maintenance routines
  • Keep maintenance documentation and checklists up to date
  • Monitor equipment condition and report deterioration or risks
Inventory & Spare Parts
  • Monitor and manage maintenance consumables and spare parts stock levels
  • Communicate material requirements to purchasing in a timely manner
  • Ensure critical spares are available to reduce downtime risk
Contractor Support & Site Work
  • Support and supervise external contractors working on site as required
  • Provide clear instructions and ensure compliance with site safety and standards
  • Assist in coordinating outsourced maintenance or installation work
Continuous Improvement & Operational Support
  • Support small improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Identify and report opportunities to reduce downtime, waste, and maintenance cost
  • Assist with recording cycle times and basic operational performance data where required
  • Support engineering and production teams with technical troubleshooting
IT & Cross-Team Support
  • Provide basic technical support to assist IT or production systems where required
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and operations teams
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to carry out fault‑finding and basic diagnostics
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance systems (PM/AM)
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and work orders
  • Basic understanding of PLC systems (desirable)
  • Strong problem‑solving and hands‑on practical skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (basic Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of investment casting or similar processes (desirable)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a maintenance technician or similar hands‑on engineering role
  • Background in manufacturing, production, or industrial environment preferred
