Job summary

gpac is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician for a highly automated dairy facility in Wisconsin. This 24/7 role ensures safe, compliant operation of production, packaging, and utility systems, with exposure to advanced automation, robotics, and pasteurization equipment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and experience with PLCs, VFDs, pumps, conveyors, and sanitary process systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment.
• Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers.
• Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings.

Job description

This is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance position supporting a highly automated dairy facility. The role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems across a 24/7 operation.

The Ideal Candidate Brings:

• - 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred)
• - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• - Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment
• - Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers
• - Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems
• - Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
• - Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems a plus
• - Commitment to food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
• - Safety-conscious mindset with ability to work independently on 6pm–6am shift
