About The Maintenance Technician Position
We’re looking for a talented maintenance technician responsible for addressing apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager, and for maintaining the highest standards in customer service and curb appeal of the assigned property.
- Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.
- Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
- Perform proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, golf-cart, elevator and more.
- Maintain work order system verifying all orders are completed timely and to standards and resident satisfaction.
- Inspect grounds, buildings, and amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness, and identify issues needing maintenance, repair, or replacement.
- Assist with property emergencies, including snow removal, fires, floods, etc.
- Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership regarding issues.
- Promote safety and risk management according to regulations.
- Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours maintenance, adhering to response times.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, interact professionally with residents.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, properties, and agencies.
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform policy.
- Follow all safety and risk management policies.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
- General maintenance and carpentry skills.
Skills And Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, clean record, current auto insurance.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to use office equipment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform basic math.
- Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance.
- Comply with safety policies.
- Complete required training within 30 days.
