Here at Blue Point, we care about the important stuff. Our team is inspired by the spirit of Long Island and the people in our community. Our priority is brewing beer, but it’s just as important to us that we have deep local roots, take care of our environment, and create a space that our employees enjoy coming into day‑in and day‑out, just like we do for our customers. We celebrate bringing friends and families together over beer and food at our pub, supporting local art and music at our festivals and on our stages, and partnering with businesses in our backyard. We look for people who are original, gritty, hardworking, and take pride in supporting who and what’s around them. And of course, people who like to have fun (it is beer after all). Plain and simple, we brew beer we want to drink and we hire people we want to work with. We hope that you can be part of the Blue Point Family!
Blue Point Brewing Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support brewery operations during second shift. This position serves as the primary maintenance and technical resource for the brewery during second shift operations and is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving equipment across packaging, brewing, utilities, and facility systems. The primary responsibility of this role is supporting packaging and brewing operations by responding to equipment failures, troubleshooting production issues, and restoring equipment to service safely and efficiently. Secondary responsibilities include supporting utility systems, and facility infrastructure. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently, managing competing priorities, and making sound decisions with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills are essential, as this position serves as the primary maintenance contact for production teams during second shift operations. Experience troubleshooting PLC‑controlled equipment, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial control systems is preferred. Experience with reliability‑focused maintenance programs such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), RCM (Reliability‑Centered Maintenance), preventive maintenance, or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus. Candidates must be flexible on hours and shifts. Overtime hours will be scheduled during periods of increased maintenance or project needs, or to cover absences and vacations. This opening is for 2nd shift: Monday through Thursday, 12:00PM-10:00PM; 1st shift 8am-4pm training period of 8-12 weeks.
Hourly Rate: $29-31.50/hour DOE 6% Shift Differential for hours worked between 10PM – 6AM. Occasional overtime and weekend work will be required.
