Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is hiring a Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will perform preventative maintenance, read diagrams and manuals, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.

A $1500 sign-on bonus is offered, with $750 after 3 months and $750 after 6 months of continuous employment. Strong mechanical aptitude and blueprint-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read instructions clearly.
• At least one year of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read/understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Comfort with lifting up to 75 lbs and using assorted hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, setup, and maintenance of equipment.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and process sheets.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, weld, and replace parts.
• Keep areas clean, safe, and compliant with procedures.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate for this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This maintenance mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, reading operations manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions. There is a $1500 sign-on bonus for this position with the first $750 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $750 paid after 6 months of continuous employment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, set up, and maintenance of equipment
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks
• Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of equipment and work areas by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• At least one year of industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to diagnose and fix problems
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, air and fluid valves, solenoids, motors, starters, breakers, pumps, material flow, limit switches, welding, and torches is a plus
• Knowledge of plastics extrusion processing is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. periodically throughout the day

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $25 - $38/hr
