Job summary

The Lookout Mountain Club in the United States is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the clubhouse facilities and equipment, including painting, door and window maintenance, and general repairs.

The role requires post-secondary vocational training in building maintenance and at least one year of maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting. Strong knowledge of trades and basic tools is essential for on-site preventive maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary vocational or building maintenance education.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting.
• Basic knowledge of trades to diagnose repair problems and perform minor repairs.
• Experience with painting, drywall/plaster repair, lock repair and replacement.
• Ability to perform in emergency situations as required.

Responsibilities

• Paint and perform general repairs to plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, and building structures.
• Maintain air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers, pool pumps; test water for health dept inspections.
• Maintain har tru clay tennis courts and perform preventive maintenance.
• Install tile and drywall; perform grout repairs and patch walls.
• Attend departmental staff meetings and complete other assignments from Facilities Director.
• Work in environments with moving parts and variable conditions; meet physical requirements.
