Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs in Lawrence, KS is seeking a facilities maintenance technician responsible for the upkeep of club property, buildings, equipment, and safety compliance. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to requests, and help identify hazardous conditions.

The role requires hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC, weekend/evening availability, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC.
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all assigned properties daily to ensure operations meet standards.
• Perform regular and preventive maintenance throughout the facility.
• Make repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools, building exterior and appliances.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Director daily.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours.
• Maintain a clean and orderly shop.
• Put in for equipment and materials as needed.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

This position is responsible for the maintenance of the Club’s property including, but not limited to general facility maintenance, repair of buildings, construction projects and equipment. Will respond to requests and concerns and identify unsafe and hazardous conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities
