Job summary

Didion Orf Recycling is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery at our facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and carry out electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with industrial maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, basic electrical knowledge, and prefer experience with hydraulics and welding.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment or industrial maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills—you can find the problem and fix it.
• Basic electrical knowledge (motor controls, circuits, PLCs is a plus).
• Experience with hydraulics and welding preferred.
• Able to work fast and safely, stay organized, and adapt when priorities change.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery.
• Work on trucks, trailers, cranes, conveyors, balers, shears, loaders, excavators, forklifts, and more.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment running.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and fix problems quickly and effectively.
• Handle electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs.
• Weld and fabricate when needed.
• Work independently and as a team.
• Follow all safety standards on the job.
