Job summary

Didion Orf Recycling is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our operations in Saint Peters, MO. You’ll inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machines used in recycling and scrap metal processing, and work on trucks, conveyors, loaders, and cranes to keep production moving.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to work safely, both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment or industrial maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix problems quickly.
• Basic electrical knowledge; motor controls, circuits, PLCs are a plus.
• Experience with hydraulics and welding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery.
• Work on trucks, trailers, cranes, conveyors, balers, shears, loaders, excavators, forklifts, and more.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment running.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and fix problems quickly and effectively.
• Handle electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs.
• Weld and fabricate when needed.
• Work independently and as a team.
• Follow all safety standards on the job.
