Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role located in the United States. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on residential properties, including inspecting units, identifying repair needs, and completing work orders in a timely manner. Daily tasks include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related repairs, as well as painting, appliance installation, and general upkeep of building interiors and exteriors. The role also involves responding to resident service requests, ensuring safety and code compliance, and maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory. The Maintenance Technician works closely with property management and other team members to support safe, clean, and well-maintained housing communities.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC support.
  • Ability to perform unit turns, appliance repairs or replacements, painting, and routine grounds and exterior maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety practices, building codes, and proper use of hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple work orders.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in building trades is preferred.
  • Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities, or a related field is highly beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel between properties as needed.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs.
