Job summary

Jeanne Jugan Residence – Little Sisters of the Poor in Newark, DE seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our home safe and comfortable. You will handle plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping and vehicle upkeep, and maintain building systems with readiness for emergencies.

We have a Maintenance Technician opportunity currently available. We are seeking applicants with the following skills and experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Five or more years experience performing general maintenance using skills to handle plumbing, carpentry, minor household repairs, painting, landscaping and vehicle maintenance tasks
• General knowledge of NFPA fire codes and OSHA/MOSHA regulations
• Ability to perform general installations, preventative maintenance and repairs of building, operating systems, equipment and vehicles
• Ability to monitor, adjust and perform repairs to sprinkler, alarm, CCTV, intercom, telephone/fax, television, lighting systems, and HVAC systems
• Ability to report and handle emergency situations, such as severe weather, flooding, etc.
