Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair buildings, equipment, and grounds, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents. You will follow maintenance plans, document work orders, and work closely with the Maintenance Director to keep systems running smoothly.

Ideal candidates bring experience in electrical, HVAC and general repairs, have a valid driver’s license, and are able to work some evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, HVAC and general repairs/maintenance is required.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect equipment and grounds to ensure safety and appearance.
• Process and document work orders for building, grounds, and equipment repairs.
• Identify parts or supplies needed and report to Maintenance Director for approvals.
• Assist with inventory control, preventive maintenance, warranties, inspections, and vendor coordination.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff; follow safety guidelines.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS--

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by ensuring the place they call home is a safe and attractive living environment. This position functions to maintain and repair the equipment, operating systems, structure and grounds of the residence.

Responsibilities--

• Regularly walking throughout the residence and grounds to check equipment, maintain appearance, and ensure safety
• Completing and documenting work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Director, including maintenance and repairs for the building, grounds and equipment
• Following troubleshooting, reporting to the Maintenance Director any parts or supplies needed to complete repairs
• Assisting the Director with completion and documentation of inventory, preventative maintenance, warranties, inspections, and overseeing work performed by outside vendors
• Communicating effectively with residents and staff
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines

Requirements--Maintenance Technician

• Required: Previous experience in a related trade or position, preferably with expertise in electrical, HVAC and repairs and/or maintenance
• Required: Ability to operate a motor vehicle as part of service and delivery requirements, as required
