Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to support our operations by performing routine and corrective maintenance on equipment, production systems, and facility infrastructure. This hands-on role requires expertise in hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, pneumatics, and air compressor systems to ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems within company facilities.
- Perform carpentry and installation work as needed.
- Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Set up and operate all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
- Maintain, repair, overhaul, assemble, disassemble, install, and dismantle machine tools.
- Ensure the mechanical and electrical systems in administrative and production areas are well-maintained.
- Collaborate with team members and work under minimal supervision to support company and departmental goals.
- Perform additional essential functions as directed by the Maintenance Director.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
- At least 5 years of experience with 440 & 230 volt 3-phase electric, 220 & 115 volt 1-phase, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting motor controls using electrical schematics.
- Strong knowledge in all aspects of machine and facility maintenance, including the ability to read technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic systems, and air compressors.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Other Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when applicable.
Ability to be fitted and wear respiratory equipment as necessary.
Work Environment
This position is primarily on the production floor, where PPE is required based on department and product (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection). The work environment may be noisy and subject to varying temperatures depending on the season and task.
