Job summary

CAPITAL ASSETS is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support our apartment community. You will handle service requests, perform make-ready repairs, and troubleshoot a range of systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Ideal candidates will have HVAC/plumbing knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift heavy loads outdoors in varying weather. We offer competitive pay, PTO, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• EPA/HVAC certification preferred or in progress.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair.
• Knowledge of drywall, painting, carpentry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform apartment turns, including make-ready repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections throughout the community.
• Assist with maintaining the grounds, amenities, and common areas.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC certification is a plus (EPA Certification preferred).
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds and work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
